Wilkins & Associates Celebrates Grand Opening of Mt. Pocono

Mount Pocono - Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Wilkins & Associates celebrated the opening of their new Mount Pocono office with a ribbon cutting ceremony, free hot dogs and hamburgers for all of those who attended and a drawing for 1 year's subscription of the Better Homes and Gardens Magazine. The Grand Opening was held on Saturday, July 2nd.

In addition to the Grand Opening festivities, Dominick J. Sacci, President, lead tours of the new office for all of those who attended. "This new "coffee shop style" office is what our new office is going to look like from here forward." said Sacci. The office is only 900 square feet in size but features a very warm and homey style reception area which invites the customer to sit down, relax and view homes on a wall mounted projection screen. Sacci remarked, "There's no more looking at MLS books or having to thumb through magazines, everything is displayed in full color and professionally promoted through oversized computer screens mounted on the wall."

The oversized conference room is plush, well designed and able to be used by the Realtors when they want privacy with their customers and the company is able to host closings in their office without any problem.

The agent work area is different than the typical real estate office in that all of the desks are completely furnished work areas down to paper clips and Scotch tape. An agent then has the ability to use these "day desks" when they work in the office but it is not the old style office where each person gets a desk. A smaller space really cuts down on costs required to run a top notch office such as the Wilkins organization does.

Those celebrities in attendance included Mario Scavello, State Representative; Thomas R. Wilkins, CEO; a number of Brokers from other offices including Bev and Malcolm Waring who just opened their own office--Waring & Bowman Real Estate; Wilkins agents themselves and a host of other Realtors who work in the Mount Pocono area.

Said Thomas R. Wilkins, CEO, "This is the first expansion we've done in several years; you have to appreciate that we went from having close to 14 offices down to 2 as we adjusted for the downturn in the real estate market. We were savvy enough to consolidate ahead of the recession which has enabled us (thus far) to continue operating the company."

The Mount Pocono School District accounts for approximately 20% of the Wilkins overall sales. The office will be for any Wilkins agent to use whether they're based out of the Bushkill or Stroudsburg offices. According to Wilkins' internal projections, they hope to capture 58% to 62% of the overall Mount Pocono business within 12 months time.

All the Wilkins & Associates offices are open 7 days a week and you can visit them online at http://www.wilkins1.com/.
