Two Better Homes and Gardens-Wilkins Managers Appointed To Stroud Township Committees


Stroud Township - Stroud Township Supervisors, at their last meeting, appointed Christine A. Scrofano-Wilkins to fill the remaining term Charles A. Poalillo had on the Stroud Township Planning Commission.  Scrofano-Wilkins a Stroud Township resident for the majority of her life, previously served the township as an alternate to the Stroud Township Zoning Hearing Board.  Poalillo held his position on the Stroud Township Planning Commission for over 34 years. 

The Stroud Township Planning Commission is comprised of seven volunteer residents that act as an independent voice representing the overall interest of the township.  The members are appointed by the Supervisors and act as an advisory group to them, as well as the Zoning Hearing Board.

Over the last several years, the majority of retail commercial development occurred in Stroud Township.

At Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Wilkins & Associates, Scrofano-Wilkins holds the position of Senior Vice President and while being responsible for the day to day operations of the Stroudsburg and Mt. Pocono real estate offices, she also is an integral part of the senior management team comprised of three persons.  The senior management team oversees not only the real estate part of the Wilkins organization, but also their Property Management company, WACB--Property Management, NEPA Management Associates, which is going to be the full-service maintenance and contracting part of the company and Pennsylvania First, the Wilkins title company that serves a six county region.

Scrofano-Wilkins is married to Thomas R. Wilkins, founder and CEO of the Company.

Patricia Blank-Toombs, Vice President/Rental Manager with the Wilkins organization was then appointed to finish out the term that Scrofano-Wilkins left open on the Zoning Hearing Board.  Blank-Toombs will be one of two alternates to the regular Zoning Hearing Board.  Blank-Toombs is also a Stroud Township resident, lives in the Penn Estates community and is an active member of the Penn Estates Long-term Planning and Real Estate Committee.  Blank-Toombs is a senior manager at the Wilkins organization and has been with the company for over 10 years.

The Zoning Hearing Board is comprised of three volunteer residents, appointed by the Supervisors whose primary purpose is to assure the fair and equitable applications and administrations of the zoning ordinances by hearing appeals and such.  There are two alternates available when needed
