Pocono Realtor Featured in National Real Estate Magazine

Bushkill – Dennis Farrelly, leader of The Dennis Farrelly Team was featured in an article published in RISMedia Real Estate Magazine, The Leader in Real Estate Information.  The article appeared in the August 2016 issue.

The article, under the special section Power Teams, was written by Lesley Grand, Contributing Editor and titled ‘Diligence and Motivation’.  In the article, Dennis Farrelly, Realtor, with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Wilkins & Associates in their Bushkill office, was interviewed about The Dennis Farrelly Team being named the No. 1 Team in the entire Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate brand, based on units sold.  The Dennis Farrelly Team won the prestigious #1Emerald Elite Award the last 3 years in a row.

Farrelly, who is asked a series of questions from Grand, explained how diligence and motivation are key in making his team work. 

Dennis Farrelly took over The Carl Maurer Team after Maurer suddenly and unexpectedly retired last year for medical reasons.  Said Thomas R. Wilkins, CEO, “Dennis had about 15 minutes to step into Carl’s shoes and make sure there was no interruption in business, particularly when you deal with as many lenders as we do.  Carl had his own systems in place which were completely overhauled by Farrelly along with his wife Kathleen.  I don’t think anyone but Dennis, his wife and I really know how good a job Dennis did and the work it took.”  Wilkins further stated, “Farrelly had been the person in the field for over 8 years with The Carl Maurer Team before taking over.”

Other members of The Dennis Farrelly Team include Tommy Farrelly, Realtor, Dennis’ brother who acts as the person in the field, handles securing of the homes and also as a Selling Agent.  Dennis’ wife Kathleen Farrelly is an appraiser and assists the Team in giving the bank the asset’s proposed sale price, and Donna Sorrentino, Administrative Assistant to the Team.

The article further asked the question, “You are known for your expertise in handling area foreclosures, what goes into that?”  “Few people know the work that goes behind handling repos when you have between 18 – 20 lenders at any given time.” said Farrelly.  “We actually have it down to a science with Kathleen figuring out the correct price and whether or not it makes sense to make repairs and then sell the home or to just sell it.”  Farrelly further stated in the article.

Farrelly, his wife and brother are being honored at the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Owners’ Retreat held in Des Moines, Iowa, corporate home of Meredith Publishing who owns Better Homes and Gardens Magazine.  The name Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate has been licensed to Realogy, a publicly traded company based in Madison, New Jersey.

Said Wilkins, “We were actually the first Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate office when Realogy licensed the name and the franchise went public.  I had the pleasure of flying to San Francisco to be a part of the BHG announcement which was held at the Inman Convention, one of the largest real estate conventions in the US--that was in July of 2008.”
